Chapter 11
- "Rhea," Ash panted, his voice rough, a growl low in his throat. He moved into the bathroom, his gaze on hers. "You're safe now."
- Rhea wasn't safe. Her brain rebelled with a desperate no, a shriek of fear echoing against the animal thrum that had claimed a place deep within her. Her body, however, was a traitor. Every pulse throbbed with a terrifying need, a craving for the overwhelming Alpha scents that now saturated the small space. Ash, close enough that his heat radiated off him, was a furnace. Zane’s playful, intoxicating scent swirled, pulling at something deep inside her. Kai’s steady, grounding presence was a strange anchor in the chaos, yet even his scent promised a dangerous calm. And Blaze… Blaze was pure, unadulterated fire, igniting a corresponding blaze in her.
- "Safe?" Rhea's whisper was barely audible, a shattered sound. She pushed herself more firmly into the corner, striving to escape the magnetic pull that wanted to draw her into their presence. "You broke down the door! You're. you're suffocating me!"
