• "Rhea Mooncrest, in the presence of the Circle of Authority you stand." Elder Theon Vale's voice echoed in the Council Hall, chill and uninviting. "And with you, Alphas Ryder, Valez, Wolfe, and Draven. And Beta Mooncrest."
• "We are here, Elder," replied Rhea, her tone resolute, though her hands trembled. Ash stayed with her, his body a solid anchor, as Zane, Kai, and Blaze flanked them, their stances radiating a tightly wound tension. Micah stood behind her as a shield.
• "Indeed," Theon continued, his gaze sweeping over the ill-fated Alphas. "A rather. historical conclave. Four Alphas, one Omega. The Mooncrest Omega, no less. A line which has, shall we say, caused great. turmoil in its wake."
