• It had been two weeks since Seren’s disappearance and everything felt like it was turning dark. Even the sun didn’t shine brightly enough anymore. She had left a hole where her presence used to be and I couldn’t think straight anymore. Everything was gloomy. This house and every fucking person in it.
• But what was even more nerve racking was how stunted everything seemed to be since her disappearance. The threat we faced from Darrow had suddenly disappeared and that was how my father and I came to the conclusion that Darrow must be the one who too Seren.
