Chapter 23 You Unravel Me

• Kael’s POV
• The walls of my room were closing in. Or maybe it was my chest again, that sickening, suffocating pull of the mate bond every time I tried to think of Seren in a way I shouldn’t be.
• Seren’s name burned in my skull. Her face, her voice, her eyes when she said she’d given Kevin a chance—those things were ghosts that refused to leave me alone. I shouldn’t want her. I shouldn’t be selfishly jealous that she’s with Kevin but the rage inside me keeps going up and one day I’m scared and I’ll explode.
