• Oksana watched Lisandra thinking that maybe it hadn't been a good idea to get her out of prison. Was all that trouble worth it? Mr. Carter wasn't joking around. Word around the street was that the amount he'd offered would go up after every forty-eight hours. She knew how people were when it came to money. For the next few weeks, things were going to be crazy. They would look for her everywhere which meant they had to lay low. For maybe a month or two they weren't going to do anything. Luckily human beings moved on a little too fast. Eventually, they would give up and forget about her. That's when they were going to make their move.
• Her plan was simple. While Lisandra was busy getting her revenge, that man would definitely go to rescue Mrs. Carter. As a matter of fact, she knew he was already at her house to protect her. In the process of stopping Lisandra, she was going to shoot him. Oksana always imagined filling his body with bullets until there was no chance of anyone saving him. He didn't deserve to live while her brothers were rotting under the ground. Whatever beef they had, it could have been solved in so many ways. Death hadn't been the answer.
