• Quinton was reveling in the situation, swiftly and precisely removing his shirt. Just as he was about to lean down to kiss Sara, he sensed someone approaching—and it wasn’t Philip. He immediately pulled back, positioning himself near the window as he realized it was a Lycan.
• The door burst open violently, and Quinton met Uriel’s furious gaze. Seeing Sara crumpled on the floor only seemed to fuel Uriel’s rage further. Quinton found it odd that Uriel was so enraged over Sara’s condition, but he took advantage of Uriel’s focus on her and slipped out through the window.
