• Quinton received word that Rachel had woken up and immediately headed to the prison where she was being held. He wanted to talk to her and brought along clothes for her to wear. As they approached, Taylor made a shushing gesture toward Rachel and lay down on the floor, pretending to be asleep or unconscious from the poison.
• As he neared the cell, Rachel locked eyes with him, clutching the blanket even tighter. Quinton glanced toward Taylor, then stepped inside her cell.
• “Good to see you’re awake. I heard about the fight you had with a vampire before you passed out. And I also found out you’re a white wolf. You can’t imagine how much that surprised me.”
