Chapter 47 Anxiety
- While Rachel dreamed of the white wolf, Philip stayed by her side as she tossed and turned, burning with fever. He woke to her restless movements and moans. When he realized she wasn’t waking up, he tried to lower her temperature with cold compresses.
- Philip continued attempting to reduce Rachel’s high fever, but the compresses weren’t helping, so he carried her to the bathroom and placed her in the tub with cold water, hoping it would bring relief. He was deeply worried and turned to Zeus for insight.
- “Could she be rejecting the marking?” he asked his wolf, unable to hide his distress.
