• Eloise sighed, glancing at her phone for what felt like the hundredth time. It was already 11 PM, and Vincent hadn't come to her room today. She had seen him earlier, walking towards his room, so she knew he was home and not working. But the absence of his usual presence weighed heavily on her.
• Unable to shake off her concern, she rose from her bed and quietly made her way to his room. The door was slightly ajar, and she hesitated for a moment before gently pushing it open. The room was dimly lit, shrouded in shadows, but she could make out his form on the bed.
