Later that evening, Eloise found herself wandering the corridors of the mansion, trying to clear her mind. She was lost in thought when she rounded a corner and almost bumped into Vincent.
He stood there, his dark eyes locking onto hers, and for a moment, neither of them spoke.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, his voice low, almost dangerous.
