Chapter 9

• Noah didn't know what was taking Marcus so long to get to the office, he kept on swinging the chair he sat on round and round. He seems to be enjoying the fun he got in swinging the chair. But he finally got bored and stood up. He could have just left the key with the guard downstairs, he thought as he paced around the office with his hands at akimbo on his waist.
• He decided to follow his thought as he locked the office door behind him, He searched for his car keys but he had left them inside the office. He opened the door so he could get them before leaving, he tried calling Marcus but it wasn't reachable. He felt frustrated as he strode down to the existing. He wasn't yet close to the existing as he noticed a familiar figure all crumbled on the floor, he ran a bit closer to catch a real glimpse. His thoughts we're right! It was Jane on the floor. Noah didn't understand how she gets to put him in a tight corner.
• He laughed as he scratches the back of his head, what was funnier about everything was that he never felt a burden. Meanwhile, he felt it was his responsibility to be there for her. He didn't know why his heart where so kin to help her always. He looked in the direction where Marcus stood, he could notice the rage in Marcus' eyes. He guesses she must have acted dumb again, he stared at them one last time before striding toward them.
