• I had told Mary to leave camp and had tended to give her a job. Susan, the new housekeeper I had employed had told me, Jane was still busy getting outfitted. It had seemed like she wasn't interested in having her meal with me but that wasn't a problem for me, she could have it her way.
• The call from my business associate in Chicago had come in yesterday and they needed me immediately. Even though I ran my father's illegal business, I still had a business in Chicago.
