Chapter 23

• The ride was silent and only the music coming from the Car was the only noise that could be heard. Yeah, I called it noise because I didn't even understand the things that were being said. I was surprised that I was a bit mad at Marcus for yelling at me and not even saying an apology.
• Was he even supposed to apologize? I didn't want to stress an irrelevant issue as I stared through the window. The city looked beautiful, who would ever think that I was ever going to visit such a place? Everywhere looked sterile and perfect.
• The window went down and I stared at Marcus who was also busy gazing at the city through the other window. The fresh air kept slamming on my face which I loved so much, the beautiful city began to fade away when we entered a long portico.
