• He stared at sofia and then at me before using his hand to clean the tears that were planning to trickle down my face. "Both you and Sofia have a better life to live than stay with me," he voiced, breaking me down.
• I sucked in my whole breath as the tears came gushing out now. His eyes widened at the way he saw me crying, some passerby had begun to stare, he had tried to confront me but it was to no avail. He stared at me before telling his guards to take me to where I could start living alone.
• Why was he pushing us away? Did I offend him? The guard held me but I freed my hands and went in front of Marcus. "Why did you bring me to Chicago with you? Why didn't you just let me stay in Italy?" I said as my voice came harsher than intended.
