Chapter 26

• The food was tasteful. I stood up and tried to clear the plate but he told me that he had hired a maid to do that. I wanted to take the plate myself so I could clear my head from what he had said. I was still insistent on carrying the plate when he screamed at the top of his voice.
• "Can you just listen to me?" he whispered and screamed with a scowl on his face. I couldn't help it as I quickly sat back on the chair with my hands trembling a bit, "I'm sorry, just a bit stressed from work." he muttered, glancing at me. After five minutes of silence, he eventually uttered some words.
• "Do you want to eat out at night?" he inquired as he wiped his mouth with the napkin set on the table, "no," I mumbled not peeking at him. "Are you angry at me?" he inquired with a disturbed frown on his face, why did he seem bothered that I had said no?
