Chapter 5

  • Chapter5
  • Jane hasn't been herself, since the period she agreed on escaping camp with Mary. She has been feeling restless and uncomfortable, she kept on thinking whether to go with Mary or not. She kept on contemplating if she was making the right decision or not, she was also scared of being caught. What if I get caught? She asked herself. Thinking of how she might be shot dead, or hanged to death made her panic so much.
  • She kept Pacing around the room as she pinched her hands with her long fingers, ’A thing She does every-time a decision she makes isn't confirmed’. She stared at the wall clock which kept ticking loudly, she was running out of time. It was already 4 pm, very soon it would be midnight. was she ready to go on with the plan? Was she ready to leave the kids here to suffer the same labor she had suffered for years? This was a question she was scared to answer.
  • She could remember how happy the kids were after explaining to them, that they were going to be home soon. She didn't want to give them empty promises. What if she gets caught and exposed? The kids won't believe her anymore. She nodded her head as she had come to a decision she appreciated. She was going to find Mary now, and tell her this early of her decision she had changed. She was about putting her shoes on when Mary ran into the room panting so hard Like she was being chased.
  • Jane quickly stood up from the bed, ”what is wrong Mary? Why are you running so hard? Were you chased?” she inquired of. Jane knew her question was too much to be answered now. ”Do you need water?” Jane asked Mary  ”Yes! yes, yes. please.” Mary said panting. Jane quickly gave Mary her water bottle. Mary gulped the water down her throat like a hungry lion who haven't feasted on meat for long. After quenching her taste, Mary finally spoke out.
  • ”I don't think We can escape tonight.”
  • *************************
  • ”Sorry Marcus, I heard of the sad news of the death of your father, That I had to come down here from Pakistan.” Mian Muhammed Mansha said. ”Thank you so much for The wholehearted sympathy Mian Muhammed Mansha,” Marcus mumbled. ”It has been a long time you visited Karachi in Pakistan, I remember the last time you visited with your father.” Mian Muhammad Mansha said. At the mention of his father, Marcus was at the peck of tears. How he missed his father so much, he missed every memory they had together.
  • He quickly brushed the taught, to avoid him crying in front of his father's biggest client in Pakistan. ”Would you like some girls?” Marcus asked Mian Muhammed Mansha. ”Yes, yes. I would want some mature ladies.” Mian Muhammed Mansha said. ”Give me some moment!” Marcus said excusing himself. Mian Muhammed Mansha nodded in approval.
  • Marcus whispered in Noah's ear, telling him something only both of them could hear.
  • Noah who has been sitting down and watching everything unfolds before him. Stood up and followed Marcus behind. He nodded his head to the guest, which Mian nodded back with approval.
  • Marcus brought out the pictures of the girls in camp, to check the ones who are already up to 22 in age. They kept scrolling and picking the ones who were of age. Noah's eyes caught one of the girl's photos, she looked so familiar, Noah tried to recall where he had seen that face before But he just couldn't place a memory.
  • He kept the girl's photo together with the one they were going to show Mian Muhammed Mansha. They finally gathered the pictures and left for their waiting guest. ”I am sorry Mian, we were trying to seek out the girls. You know it has been hectic since my dad passed away?” Marcus said. At the mention of his Fathers name, he swallowed a lump down his throat.
  • Marcus handed the pictures of the girls to Mian. He looked at them for a while, before he finally spoke. ”I like them all, they are just perfect. You are going to make a good businessman just like your father.” Mian commented.
  • “Thank you, Mian, It's nice doing business with you,” Marcus said standing up to shake him. The girls would be ready tomorrow morning for the trip, Marcus assured Mian. ”Sure, it a deal then.” I would transfer the money to your account this night. Mian made sure as he entered his car, to zoom off.
  • After Mian had left, Marcus ordered one of his bodyguards to get the ladies on the list for him. The bodyguard left quickly, as Marcus and Noah await him patiently.
  • some minutes later, the bodyguards were sited with some group of girls. Noah and Marcus stood up to address them sharply. Because they had other things to take care of! Immediately they came to a halt with the girls, the bodyguard told them to be quiet. Noah couldn't help but notice the girl from the photo he saw a moment ago. now, he knew She was the girl from the stream.
  • The mysterious girl he had been wanting to see. He didn't know why but he was glad he met her again, but she was going to be sold Was something he had to stop. He felt there was something attractive about this girl, and he was game to find out. ”Marcus, can we talk for a moment before you address this girl?” Noah asked. ”Sure,” Marcus said. ”But can we make it snappy? You know we have somewhere to be.” Marcus continued.
  • Marcus and Noah immediately came back after few minutes.
  • Marcus stood forward to address the girls. ”As you all know my father just recently passed away. And I won't want any of you to go against me, because I can be merciless. Tomorrow you are going on a long journey. And I don't want to hear a situation, where I get to find out, that someone tries to escape. I won't be calm, I promise! I would cut them to pieces.” By the mention of being cut to pieces by Marcus, you could hear murmuring from the girls.
  • ”Quiet,” the bodyguard ordered pointing his gun at all of them. And there was silence again. ”Go back to your dormitory, have a good rest because tomorrow is a good day.” Marcus said before laughing hard. The girls turned to return to their dormitory All looking sad and sluggish. From their looks, they preferred to stay in camp and hope for a day they will be rescued. Then go to a country where they have no slightest hope of escape.
  • "Hey, follow me.” Jane turned and followed the bodyguard, with zero hope for her future.
