• A loud, urgent knock on my door startled me awake. I sat up, disoriented, my heart pounding in my chest, my heart rate had barely been stable since the encounter with the witch. The lingering dread and nightmares from the previous nights still clung to me not helping either, a very cold shadow in my mind. I opened the door to find Ronan standing there, his face marked with urgency.
