Ril’m had just finished training the Crown Prince and the foreteller that afternoon. The two were back to their respective residences, whereas she headed back to the king’s residence where she was now staying. Her things had long been moved there as well.
She and the king made love whenever they desired each other and wherever it was within or outside the palace walls. They sometimes did it in the stable of the gi’z, on the training ground, in the garden under the moonlight, in the library, or even in the throne room when the sessions with the court officials were done and in the house of an apothecary while they went incognito. They were both insatiable.
As usual, she wore a mask and a high ponytail instead of a topknot she used to have in the past. However, the mask was now a different one, as half of her face was covered lengthwise to cover her scar, but it exposed her lips and chin. It was the king’s gift to her since she had mentioned she’d change her old one. Along with it was another saber that was designed as her original one, which surprised her. He told her it was something he had promised long ago that he wanted to compensate her with when the Crown Prince inked her weapon. Now, she wore both on her back, strapped in an X shape.
