• King Xarius and the Flower General weren’t able to have that planned chat, as one of the palace maids hurried into the throne room, breathless with tear-filled eyes. The court officials were stunned by this.
• “Forgive me, Your Majesty, but this can’t wait! The queen…” She cried. “She’s in labor at the moment, and the physician thinks it’s… It’s bad, Your Majesty!”
• The king immediately rose from the throne. Using the back door, he and his entourage disappeared without a word. The court officials and the two generals were dumbfounded by the news. They all followed to go to the queen’s residence, showing their concern. But they could only watch from a distance. The guards wouldn’t allow them to get closer.
