• Ril’m was perplexed to see Sui. She thought she had just imagined him. He was garbed in another green garment, fancy as ever, his head covered by a green beret. He was riding a gi’z. Behind him were two royal bodyguards in their uniform, both armed. Their beasts snorted twice.
• She remembered her manners and greeted the Royal Envoy courteously. “Royal Envoy, I didn’t expect to see you. I heard you were busy with the investigation regarding—”
• “It can wait. I’ve heard about a more pressing matter.”
