• I wait and watch as Trent processes what I’ve just told him. Even with the dim light casting shadows on his handsome face, I can see the desire that is beginning to form there.
• Dammit. How in the world was he able to remain strong up until this point, and why did his sticking to his word make me feel both loved and rejected? I hated these swirling emotions that I never would have had when we were younger.
