Chapter 51 Need

• [Gabrielle’s POV]
• I sit in Trent’s lap, listening to the sound of his strong heartbeat as the silence of the room around us settles in. We’ve been sitting here just like this for a while, probably because Trent is waiting for me to make the first move to show that I’m okay.
• After having our night out ruined by Katie, our group split ways, each going to their respective homes so that Rachelle and I could rest and recuperate from what happened to us. And even though I was thankful to be in the safety of the home that Trent and I shared, I couldn’t help but wonder whether or not anything was being done to Katie after what she did.
