• The next morning, I stand in front of Trent’s company feeling totally and completely out of my element while the urge to run grows stronger and stronger. However, I don’t do as my mind and body want; if I wanted to turn my life in the right direction, this was the first step.
• Sucking in a breath, I smooth the pants suit that Rachelle lent me for today and clutch my resume close to my chest. Even though I was simply handing this in, I didn’t want to come across as scared. I wanted to seem brave and confident. That was what a strong businesswoman would look like, right? Once this was finished, I would call Gregory and set things straight with him.
