Chapter 41 A Promise For The Future

• This story takes place twelve years prior to mine and Trent’s reunion, back when we were both just love-struck teenagers with high hopes for the future. It was a beautiful moment in my life and one that would stay with me forever since it involved me making the home I always wanted with the one that I loved so much.
• I sat alone in a rocking chair that night, watching lightning shoot across the sky, lighting the empty house just beside Trent's, where I had made my home after my mother’s death and my father’s arrest. I was waiting for Trent to finish with our hot cocoas so that we could watch the storm roll in together.
