• I’m sitting in a familiar kitchen, in front of a familiar kitchen. My mother stands in front of the stove cooking, and my stepsister Trudy sits across from me coloring. I remember this moment vividly, as it was the day that my life changed completely. However, I don’t understand why I’m here or why I’m reliving this when all I could remember was Gabby’s scared face as she screamed for me before my world went dark.
• Feeling my heart kick up speed, I jump up from where I’m sitting and rush outside, where I find a teenage Gabby waiting for me.
