Chapter 40 The Queen of Syrr

  • It was early in the morning when my bedroom door busted open revealing Rosamund with a smile stretched on her lips. Her wavy hair fell down her waist elegantly, swaying along with her beige dress that fell shortly at her ankle.
  • “Good morning, mother!” She greeted me with a cheerful tone.
  • A chuckle escaped my lips when she jumped onto my bed beside me. I raised the duvet to let her in under the warm sheets. I heard her giggle and moved closely towards me.
  • “Morning to you too, princess.” I replied with a smile.
  • A sigh of relief escaped from her lips as we cuddled in silence. Only the sound of her breathing can bring me peace and joy at the same time.
  • “I love you, mother. Please don’t leave me again.” She whispered against my chest with her eyes closed tightly. I continue caressing her locks with my fingers.
