• Jack’s POV
• Packing up my stuff didn’t take all that long and I was done in no time. I glanced around the whole place once I was done, and then I made my way out of the conference room, pulling the door close behind me almost immediately, I was sure it was going to get cleaned out in a few hours time. I made my way down the hallway towards my office with unhurried footsteps. My secretary, a young looking man named Finn waved to me and I returned it half heartedly as I walked past him into my own office, pushing the door closed behind me firmly
• I headed straight for the window of my office and stood before it. The screen of the window was really hot and it felt like that was what I needed at this very moment, and almost immediately, I began to lean forward to press my forehead against the hotness of the window. I dragged in a deep breath and puffed it out really slowly as I started to pull away from the window, with my insides still feelimg like it had been run over by some kind of wind animal.
