• The next two days Briar spent with Damien in Denver felt like stepping into a dream she never wanted to wake from. Damien lived in a breathtaking, high-tech mansion designed by a visionary architect, where massive glass windows stretched from floor to ceiling, bathing every room in soft, golden light. Briar had imagined his home would be cold and minimal, perhaps filled with sleek steel and sharp lines, but she was wrong. The interior radiated warmth. Polished wood blended with classic, elegant furnishings, wrapped in tones inspired by nature — deep forest greens, soft sky blues, and calming sea shades.
