- “Let her come in.” Fiona heard Gabriel say to the security before he hung the call.
- The security man eyed her again, disgust evident in his eyes as he did so. For a reason, she felt like plucking the eyeballs that he was using and placing them in his hands for him to see them again.
- “Why aren’t you in school and you’re busy doing this kind of job? Such a waste of life!” He muttered, loud enough to Fiona’s hearing.
