Chapter 17

• Fiona looked at the cake, remembering the first time her mother bought her a cake for her five years birthday. She had finished it happily with her daddy. Now this unknown man was the one making her happy now, she walked to the cake before cutting part of it. The taste of it melted on her lips, the emotions coursing through her veins indescribable.
• After three slices, she started to feel drowsy. Her eyes closed on themselves. She heard footsteps moving toward her, but the scent of the doctor made her feel safe.
• “It’s an okay baby.” The doctor said, his hand rubbing her body.
