Chapter 72 Finding Allies 2

• I was not expecting Carver to call me and ask for help. I was not sure what to make of it. I had offered my help before, but Carver had never needed my help before. So, to say I was curious when he called was an understatement. Carver and I met when he was much younger. I had found a couple of guys bullying him while he was walking around the city and put a stop to it. I detest bullies. I am not an ancient vampire, but I have been around for a couple hundred years now. I have been a little nervous lately. The triplets had come to town a few months ago because Mykynzye and Kaelayni's tour had come through. They had stayed after the tour had ended and no one knew why. I have never had an issue with them, and I plan to keep that way. I knew a couple of the smaller nests and one large coven had pissed them off and now no longer exist. I had met them a few times. Chris was a little more approachable than his sisters, which is well known. All the supernatural's in town were on edge having them hang around. When they hung around it normally meant someone had done something to attract their attention, and not in a good way. I was waiting for Carver to show up. We had agreed to meet somewhere neutral. I wanted to meet somewhere that would not raise suspicion. I had chosen a place outside of the city where we were less likely to run across the triplets.
