Chapter 56 The Day Before Thanksgiving 2

• The next thing I knew we were outside as a loud roar erupted from me. I could hear footsteps coming towards us, but all I could focus on was the pain. Fuck, it feels like I am shifting for the first time again. What in the fuck is going on? That is when I felt the first bone break.
• Dimitrios When I heard that loud deep roar, I knew what was happening. Kurkov had been brought here by Chris after what happened when Kaelayni marked Kaleb. I am not sure why everyone thought he would die, but that was ridiculous. I mean I guess they have seen valid proof to think like that, but this situation is completely different. Kurkov and I sprinted outside to find the others already there. They were standing around as Kaleb flopped like a dead fish from lying on his back to lying on his stomach. He propped himself up on his hand and knees as the first of his bones broke. Kaelayni ran towards him, but I yelled at Chris to keep her back.
