Chapter 13 The Day After

• I had decided to go see my parents after Kaleb, Nash
• and I had talked. I wanted to see if dad had found out any more about my mate. Thankfully, my siblings were staying over at Zyhrya's, Nash's younger sister, that night. The three of them were close and they had grown up together. The twins were only a week older than Zyhrya so that might have a lot to do with it. I was sitting on their couch drinking Pepsi as mother handed me a plate overloaded with food. Thank God I was a shifter and had a higher metabolism than humans or I would weigh 400 pounds with the way my mother cooks.
