Chapter 19 A Photo

  • Liana POV
  • The episode left me with a bitter taste. My mind raced with ways to expose Elara’s deceit. Seriously, I was getting tired of it. And I wanted this to get over sooner than I had intended. I looked at the bloodied knife and tossed it on the plate. Then I rushed to the bathroom and washed my hands over and over to get rid of her blood without knowing that the next few days were going to be a torture.
  • For days after the confrontation with Elara, I stayed in my room, consumed by frustration and sadness. The memory of her lies replayed in my mind, tormenting me. How could she twist the truth so effortlessly and put me in such a position? Called me a liar. Worse, Darius hadn’t come to see me. Darius didn’t come to see me. Not once. I waited, hoping he would show up, knock on my door, and say something—anything—but the silence stretched like an eternity.
