Chapter 25 The Voicemail

• A week had passed since their intense kiss, but because of it Alessia had been absent minded at work and kept thinking of the kiss. She hadn't seen Marcus since the day they shared that kiss and was grateful he didn't show himself to her because she didn't know how she was going to react. She had also received a lot of missed calls from her mother the past few days, but ignored it and didn't bother checking on her messages. She had thought about blacklisting her mother's number, but decided against it because she was still worrying about her.
• Alessia was in her room, relaxing and taking a nap because it was the weekend and she didn't need to go to work.
• When she woke up after an hour she grabbed her phone only to see that she had received a voicemail message from her mum. She hesitated before she checked it and was shocked by what she heard. Dread filled her as she quickly put on her clothes and ran out of her room, bumping into Zelda in the process. Shocked Zelda stared at her with a bewildered expression.
