Chapter 15 I'm Not Your Alpha!

• After Marcus's conversation with Duncan about the patrol schedules and other pack matters he walked out of his office, and into the woods. He wanted to go running in his wolf form or rather hunting. Deep down inside him, he knew that he really craved to see his mate, but he didn't want to acknowledge the truth. He was still denying that it was himself that was wanting to see her and blamed everything on his wolf.
• He ran through the woods and across the border of his territory and past his pack members. He was running as fast as he could, but questions upon questions kept popping into his head.
• What was she doing here? What was her relationship with the man that made her so tense? What was she doing now? Why wasn't she afraid when she saw him in his wolf form? He ran faster through the woods as the wind blew through his fur, but then he suddenly stopped as he caught a scent of a particular unpleasant smell, like that of a rotten egg. That was a rogue's scent, maybe it was Troy's. Whoever it was he was nearby but what could he be doing in this part of the woods, by the side of the high mountains? Marcus sniffed the air some more and this time he was certain that it was definitely Troy's scent, so he followed the scent slowly and carefully, so as not to be noticed. He jumped and ran through the woods, going to the top of the peak of the mountain and the scent grew even closer, he was getting there. He could hear the sounds of breathing and sensed that there were two people here, one was Troy, but who was the other?
