Chapter 9
- Abigail's father was pleased that she had attended the business dinner the other day.
- He apologised for not being able to make it himself, but told her that she had made quite an impression on people, and that this association would be good for his business. Abigail was pleased for her father, but was definitely not sure that she had appreciated the "attention" she had received. She wondered if Roger was one of those who had fed back positive comments to him.
- "In fact" her father went on, "one of them, the chairman of a corporation headquartered nearby, has temporarily lost his PA, and wondered if you could fill in for her?"
