Chapter 76

• In order to recover mentally and physically from her recent ordeal, Abigail went to spend several weeks at her uncle and aunt's house to spend some quality time with her best friend Emma.
• Emma was Abigail's cousin, who used to live next door, but now lived a little further away on the other side of town. They didn't see each other as often these days, but they were still very close. Emma was several years older than Abigail and more worldly wise.
• Emma had always seen Abigail, an only child, as a bit of a little sister to dote on, tease, teach in the ways of the women, but also protect her from the big bad world.
