• Emma was delighted that she had managed to broker the first successful "date" between Abigail and Cliff. She wanted to know all the gory details and kept pumping Abby for more explicit info. Abigail spilt the beans on the main points with enthusiasm but shied away from the more "private" details.
• Emma couldn't believe it, and make no secret of being delighted, that both the impromptu love birds had, no doubt caught up in the passion of the moment, neglected to exchange contact details with each other. Emma was delighted because it put her in the driving seat to arrange another get together. Abigail kept pestering her for Cliff's mobile, e-mail, address, or anything, to no avail.
• Emma, meanwhile was planning their next meeting. The date was set, less than a week after the first encounter, with both Abigail and Cliff desperate to see each other again. But Emma cruelly kept them apart until she was ready. Emma paid another visit to the "specialist" store she had recently visited. She didn't tell Abigail what was in store for her, but started the day pampering her younger cousin as before. She also got her lustrous brown hair done nicely in soft curls that cascaded around her shoulders.
