- Before I could respond, I heard Soraya’s footsteps quicken behind me. I nodded to Ronan and strode to the packhouse quietly, she continued to follow me. I could feel her presence pressing down on me, and I sighed heavily, feeling a sense of resignation wash over me. I didn’t want to deal with this right now, but I couldn’t ignore her.
- “Thorne, please wait!” she called, her voice slightly breathless.
