• The grand chamber was dimly lit, the flickering touches casting long shadows on the stone walls. I sat on the head table, my presence commanding and intense. My hands made its way to the red crystal ring on my finger, caressing it gently as if it were a baby in need of a massage. My eyes narrowed to the door as it opened and Elder Nyssa stepped in.
• Her silver hair glowed in the dim lights of the chamber, her wise eyes gave me a shrill look. She was upset, but walked gracefully to the seat across mine and then she sat down. Her eyes were fixed on me with an intense stare that made me start feeling uncomfortable.
