Chapter 106 A Dying Flame

  • ~Elara~
  • The air inside the packhouse was cool, the scent of fresh pine and earthy wood lingering from the forest that surrounded Silvercrest. I felt the energy buzzing beneath my skin as I stepped inside, my mind already set on one thing—training. It had been too long since I’d last fought, too long since I’d felt the burn of exertion and the satisfaction of pushing myself beyond my limits. After everything that had happened—Draven, the sigil’s bracelet, nearly being captured—there was no way I was going to sit idle. I needed to be ready. Ready to fight, ready to defend myself, and ready to win.
  • The packhouse was quiet this evening, most of the warriors likely out at the training grounds or handling patrols. I walked through the halls with purpose, my excitement growing with each step. I needed to feel that rush of power again, to remind myself that I was capable of fighting my own battles.
