Chapter 54

• Candice stared deep into my eyes while playing with the ruby ring on her finger. We have been sitting facing each other for more than five minutes. I have my lips shut for a while not because I have changed my mind and I don't want to say anything to her. It's because there are a lot of things that I want to tell her, and I am a bit confused about where I should begin. Should I go back to the issues of our past that we never get to talk about?
• At first, I wanted to believe that it was because of the time, that it was because she was far from me, but I didn't think that was it. It's us, we were both trying to avoid opening that topic. For us, it's a Pandora's box; it will bring us chaos if we try to open it, but no one has opened that box. No one knows if that box does bring chaos or not.
• Candice sighs heavily as if her patience is about to run out. She looked down at her wristwatch. She is giving me a sign that if I don't open my mouth and say anything then she will leave in a blink of an eye.
