• I turned to Ender to confront him about what he meant by that, but what he did next was unexpected. He cupped my cheeks and his lips caught mine. Ender kissed me passionately and my senses flew straight out of the window. I opened my mouth, giving him access to my insides, but he suddenly pulled away.
• I was left staring at him with my mouth half-opened, "If you are going to defend Beau from me. Save it. I don't want to hear any of it, Ibixa. I know what happened to you and him on the night of your university's founding anniversary," he said. It felt like I had lost all of my blood as I looked at his face, trying to fathom the indecipherable look that he had.
