Chapter 36 The Monster Within

• I yelped when he dragged me away from Sam, pushing me back before I heard a snap of bone. Eyes wide, I screamed, scrambling to my feet. Kielan's eyes blazed with fury, his face twisted in a snarl as he loomed over Sam. I felt a shiver run down my spine, and my heart raced. I positioned myself between them, my voice shaking.
• “Kielan, stop! He didn't do anything!” I pleaded, trying to defuse the situation.
• "Get the fuck away!" He shoved me to the side and grabbed Sam, his fist connecting to his jaw once more and making a snapping sound.
