- Unconsciously, I drew another step back, and his eyes narrowed in on that. His lips lifted in a sadistic smile and I clenched my fists, feeling the shiver run down my spine. My heart thumped loudly in my chest and my lips dried. Swallowing was almost painful.
- Kielan paused in his steps and crooked his fingers toward me. “Come to me, Lylah.” His voice was so low, so freaking gentle. I feared what he had in mind.
- “Wh… Why should I?” Despite the danger lurking, I was still being stubborn. I wasn't just digging my grave, I was willingly going into it.
