Chapter 25 Always Digging My Grave
- “Have a safe trip,” Kielan had said to me when I left this morning. He had been almost well-behaved. Not only did he help me with my bath, but he also prepared breakfast and carried me downstairs for it. I almost forgave him for what he did to me last night. Almost. But I didn't do that.
- It was a busy day at the bar. I opened the two at once, despite knowing how difficult it would be for them to pick up from where we stopped. It was that damned George's fault.
- I leaned on the rail on the first floor of my first bar, looking down at the handful of people who came in. If this were to be in the past, long before my bars got shut down, the place would have been booming already, brimming with people.
