Chapter 38 Nyssa's Reckoning
- The police station’s cold, sterile air couldn’t penetrate the fiery resolve burning inside Nyssa as she was led into the small, dimly lit interrogation room. The officers exchanged nervous glances, their unease palpable. Nyssa's calm, controlled expression only heightened their discomfort, her eyes gleaming with a fierceness that could cut through steel.
- The lead officer, an older man with graying hair, attempted to maintain authority as he gestured for Nyssa to take a seat. She complied with a grace that was almost regal, folding her hands on the table and fixing her gaze on him.
- "Miss Nyssa," the officer began, his voice shaky, "you’ve been accused of stealing property from your family’s estate and allegedly abusing them. We need to ask you a few questions."
