• As they were all getting ready to leave, a loud crack shattered the glass window, sending shards flying across the restaurant. Instantly, everyone was on high alert. Nyssa’s sharp eyes caught sight of the attackers; it was the same group that had ambushed her in the mountains.
• Aric pointed at Ethan and shouted, “Take Nyssa away, now!”
• Nyssa shook her head defiantly. “No, I’ll help you. They’re after me, not you.”
