Chapter 36 Echoes Of The Past

  • The sea breeze was cool, carrying the scent of salt and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore. The team had set up camp on the beach, their laughter and chatter filling the night air. Nyssa stood at the edge of the camp, gazing out at the dark ocean. Despite the day’s lighthearted moments, an inexplicable unease had settled in her chest, making it difficult to fully relax.
  • In the distance, hidden in the shadows, Kalus watched her, his eyes never leaving her figure. His heart was heavy with emotions he couldn’t fully comprehend. There was a strange pain in his head, a throbbing sensation that pulsed with the beat of his heart. • As he watched Nyssa, the pain intensified. Suddenly, images began to flash before his eyes—fragments of memories, disjointed and chaotic. He saw a young girl, her face blurred but unmistakably familiar. There was a forest, the sound of snakes hissing, and a feeling of intense fear. Kalus stumbled back, clutching his head as the memories assaulted him.
